WW1 Silver British War Medal Windless Brothers both KIA in France & Flanders a year apart whilst serving with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Wiltshire Regiment 19323 LCpl Walter James Windless severed with B Company the 1st Battalion. He was killed in action on 23 May 1916 aged 26 His brother was 19321 Pte George Windless was severed with the 6th Battalion and was killed in action on the 4 April 1917 They were the sons of Thomas Ambrose and Mary Ann Windless of Wherwell be Andover Hants.
