Arthur Kay was born on the 8th of April 1892 in St Helens, son of Ernest and Annie Kay. On the 16th of June 1916 he landed in France. On March 5th 1919 he was appointed Acting Lance Corporal. On the 31st of December 1919 he was transferred to Class "Z" Army Reserve.
