This badge was given to Arnhem veterans once released from POW camps after WW2. It is a lapel badge marked WD&S on the rear and I believe made from solid Stirling silver. This has not been cleaned and has a very original patina. These are becoming quite a rare item and often mistaken as a sweat heart broach or a collar dog.
