Charles Lockhart Overton was a British officer who served with 7th (Service) Bn King’s Own (Royal Lancaster Regt), 56th Bde, 19th (Western) Div on Western Front, 1916–1918. Awarded the Military Cross after assuming temporary command of battalion during Third Battle of Ypres, Belgium, 1917 and awarded a Bar to his Military Cross for role in action at Givenchy-lès-la-Bassée, France in April 1918.
