Original khaki-coloured steel helmet, period assembled with a 1940-dated liner and a marked inner rim. The helmet has never been disassembled and remains in its original, untouched condition. It retains an original period paper band around the exterior. I believe this was intended to be reflective or luminous, making the helmet visible at night. In my opinion, this helmet was used in Britain during the defence of the United Kingdom in World War II, possibly for Home Front or military service. A genuine, untouched example in excellent original condition
