WW2 SG Stanton civil engineer who was contracted to do all the signs for Southampton ARP in the war. Very rare sign 1 of 1 Woodmill Lane, this was discovered few years back with some others thought to be from Stanton’s original address here in Southampton in the basement, the others are going to a museum so only chance to own rare piece of Southampton & ARP/Stanton history. Comes with original “Shelter sign by SG Staton & the motorcycle front guard is war time looks like ARP 317 it’s actually (HBP 317) mounted to 3x4 post, includes sandbags (rag filled).
