This medal group of 6 tells the extraordinary story of Dennis White. Dennis served in the Royal Navy on HMS Neptune in 1936 on her visit to Kiel where the ships bell of the German warship Hindenburg by its captain Bedford. This was part of the Olympics celebrations and Denis saw Adolf Hitler in person!! He later served on HMS Indomitable as part of Operation Pedestal mission in the relief of Malta.
