Eoin George Clapperton was born in 1924 in Galashiels, Scotland to Thomas Clapperton and Elizabeth MacDonald. Thereafter the brigade was sent to Palestine in Aug 1946 where it was disbanded and absorbed into other units of the 6th Airborne Division.
