WWI M1915 French Adrian helmet adorned with the wreath and shield badge of the American Ambulance Field Service (AFS). Helmet retains original horizon blue paint, with traces of a darker late-war overpaint despite heavy patina. AFS badge missing prongs on reverse which would have affixed it to the helmet, and can be removed as pictured. For display purposes, the badge is secured with museum putty to a piece of aluminum flashing that affixes to the helmet. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions. Thank you!
