Rare survivors - this is the sale of FOUR sheets of original notepaper issued to Australian soldiers fighting in Europe in the first World War. Distributed by YMCA Australia. These documents contain a handwritten poem - a sentimental poem about Australia - and perhaps one that gave comfort to this soldier so far from home... The poem itself was published in the Australian periodical The Bulletin and can be found in the national archives - issue dated 30th August 1917 - screenshot included in the listing photographs.
