WWII-era Royal Air Force (RAF) cockpit lighting switch, marked with the classic Air Ministry “A⌁M” stamp and stores reference 5C/1180. This rotary switch was fitted to numerous RAF aircraft during the 1930s–1950s period, including the Spitfire, Hurricane, Lancaster, Mosquito, and other wartime and early post-war types. It was used by the pilot to select BRIGHT or DIM settings for the instrument panel illumination. In used untested condition as shown. Knob moves freely.
