WWII Relic Hungarian M38 Steel Helmet Collector’s item. Battlefield find in relic condition. It is the helmet shell only. Purchased in the 1980s. Believed to be from the Balaton region of Hungary. At time of purchase no restoration of any kind was undertaken on the helmet, however it was treated with a protective coating of wax to preserve the patina and the surfacedetail, inside and out. This Helmet has had a modification on the rear rim, possibly to used as a grave marker, but the purpose of this is unknown. Please check the photos to see the helmet's condition.
